Pressure & Soft Washing FAQs

What’s the difference between pressure washing and soft washing?

Pressure washing uses high pressure for hard surfaces. Soft washing uses low pressure with detergents for delicate surfaces like siding and roofs.

Which surfaces should be soft washed instead of pressure washed?

Siding, roofs, stucco, painted surfaces, and anything that could be damaged by high pressure.

Is soft washing safe for roofs and siding?

Yes. Soft washing is the recommended method for shingles and siding because it cleans without causing damage.

Can pressure washing damage my home’s exterior?

If done incorrectly, yes. That’s why we use the proper method for each surface.

What areas of a home are best for pressure washing?

Concrete, driveways, patios, stone, and other durable surfaces.

Do you use soap or chemicals during soft washing?

Yes. We use a variety detergents designed to kill mold, mildew, and algae safely based on the clients needs and concerns.

How long does the cleaning last?

Most soft wash treatments last 12–24 months, depending on environment and weather.

Why does water volume matter on a rig?

Higher water volume (GPM) cleans faster and more effectively, especially for rinsing.

Do I need to move outdoor furniture or cover plants first?

We recommend moving fragile items. We pre-wet and protect plants during soft washing.

How often should I have my exterior washed?

Most homes benefit from a full wash once a year.

Is this helpful to the drought?

It may seem like we use up a bunch of water with our business, but we actually use less than other cleaning businesses with our high volume (8 GPM) jobs get done way faster and use the water more efficiently.
